Patricia "Patty" Rigdon

Patricia "Patty" Ann Weaver Rigdon, 72 of Hillsboro, Kentucky passed away Sunday, January 29, 2023 at the University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. She was born March 28, 1950, in Plummers Landing, Kentucky to the late John Emmett Weaver and Irene Ida Ramey Weaver.

Patty was a graduate of Fleming County High School and Morehead State University. She was the owner of Pat's Tax and Business Service and was a former employee of Morehead State University. She had also taught in the public school system and for many years was a full time substitute teacher.

She was a very active member of the Flemingsburg Free-Will Baptist Church and enjoyed reading, crocheting, sewing, quilting, canning and especially time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son Steven Douglas Rigdon on November 16, 2016, five brothers, Harold Weaver, Paul Weaver, Albert Weaver, Jerry Weaver and Randy Weaver. Three sisters, Delores Weaver, Louise Dailey and Ruth Hilterbrand.

Survivors include her husband Douglas Rigdon whom she married, May 19, 1972. One son Daniel Mitchell Rigdon and his wife Melissa of Cumming, Georgia. One daughter, Delores Rigdon of Hillsboro, Kentucky. One brother, Richard Weaver of Port Charlotte, Florida and nine grandchildren, Rowan Tillery, Erin Tillery, Jessica Tillery, Aidan Tillery and Patrick Tillery. Colin Rigdon, Logan Rigdon, Hunter Rigdon and MacKenzie Rigdon.

Also, several nieces, nephews and many other family, church family and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 2, 2023, at the Flemingsburg Free-Will Baptist Church, 71 Asbury Road, Flemingsburg, Kentucky 41041 with Pastor Herbie Stallard and Pastor Harley Sexton, Jr. officiating.

Burial will follow in the Newman Cemetery.

Visitation at the Flemingsburg Free-Will Baptist Church is after 5:00 p.m. Wednesday.

Pall bearers will be Daniel Mitchell Rigdon, Colin Rigdon, Logan Rigdon, Aidan Tillery, Dewayne Weaver, Ward Hilterbrand, Roland Rawlings, Michael Terry, Stephen Martin and Daniel Pence. Honorary pall bearers will be Hunter Rigdon and Patrick Tillery.
