William "Billy" Routt

William C. "Billy" Routt, 82 of Goddard, Kentucky passed away Friday, April 29, 2022, at the Pioneer Trace Nursing Home in Flemingsburg. He was born January 11, 1940, in Clay County, Kentucky to the late Sam and Mattie Sizemore Routt.

Billy was a retired maintenance worker for the Jim Beam Distillery later known as National Distillery in Cincinnati, Ohio. After retirement he and his wife moved back to his parents farm at Goddard.

He enjoyed riding his tractor and Gator and also time at his cabin in Florida.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Donna Jean Routt and two sons, Billy Joe Routt and Michael Ray Routt, a nephew, Bobby Fultz, grandson, Billy Joe Routt II, granddaughter, Jodi Routt, brother Charles Routt who was a Vietnam veteran, sister, Josephine Routt, brother-in-law, Robert Fultz and grandparents, Isaac and Emma Routt.

He is survived by his son Jerry Jay Routt of Goddard. Grandchildren, Michael Ray Routt, Joey Routt and Sammy Routt. Brother, Bobby Routt and wife Vickie, Sisters Diane Logan and her husband Darrell and Emma Fultz.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm Tuesday, May 3, 2022 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Flemingsburg with Brother Willie Skaggs officiating.

Burial will follow in the Routt Cemetery.

Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Flemingsburg is after 11:00 am Tuesday.
