Thomas Campbell

Mr. Thomas Lee 'Tommy' Campbell, 69, of Flemingsburg, loving husband of 22 years to Brenda Campbell, passed way Thursday, February 19, 2015 at his residence. Born on January 8, 1946 in Fleming County, he was the son of Wilburn and Maxine Corbin Campbell. Tommy was a farmer, cattle dealer, and had a true of love the land. He often would just sit and watch his cattle from his window at home and say ' I have to see something grow'.

Tommy was a member of the Tilton Christian Church, even when he was barely able to walk, he would try to go. Besides his wife, he is survived by his mother, Maxine Corbin Campbell of Flemingsburg, a son, Darrin Campbell of Bath County,a daughter, Kim Nash of Waxhaw, North Carolina; Two step-daughters, Kristi (Douglas) Claypoole of Ewing and Tammy Storey Hatton also of Ewing; grandchildren, Jacob Griffith of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Kenzie Nash of Waxhaw, North Carolina; great-grandchildren, Brycen Griffith and Kaliegh Griffith of Myrtle Beach; step-granddaughter, Laura Stacy of Dayton, Ohio and a special step-granddaughter, Tabathia Mitchell of Ewing. Also surviving is an uncle, Billy (Jackie) Corbin of Flemingsburg. Besides his father is is preceded in death by; a sister, Nancy Willroy, and a brother, Robbie Campbell.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at the Carpenter-Fritz & Vice Funeral Home in Flemingsburg officiated by Pastor Russell Johnson and Brother Jim Wilson. Visitation will be from 6-9 pm Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Fleming County Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be; Don Lee, Marty Harmon, Elmer Foxworthy, David Ramey, Gary Harmon, and Donnie Christman. Honorary pallbearers will be; William Earl Humphries, Bill Leet, Clell Vice, Lonnie Emmons, and Ted Allen Ramey. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Hospice of Hope of Hope, 909 Kenton Station Dr. #B, Maysville, Ky. 41056. Condolences may be made at www.carpenterfritzvicefh.com.
