Thea Marie Riley Lubkeman, 58, of New Richmond, OH, formerly of Fleming County, beloved wife of Rodney Lubkeman, passed away Friday, January 16, 2015 at Hospice of Cincinnati East. She was born December 16, 1956 in Mariemont, OH, the daughter of Mary Williams Knapp of Flemingsburg and the late Wayne Riley.
A member of Pea Ridge Community Church in Fleming County, Thea was a medical transcriptionist for Nuance Technology where she loved her work and always had a wonderful work ethic. Thea was a huge NASCAR fan as well as UK basketball fan. She loved to go bowling, but most of all, Thea loved spending time with her family and her dogs. Thea was very true to her friends, always having a smile on her face and enjoying all of life's simplicity and treasures. She was, to put it best, a simple and humble person.
Besides her husband and mother, she is survived by: two daughters, Shalita (Billy) Compton of Plummers Landing, and Jauna (Alex) Garland of Marco Island, FL; a son, Greg Lubkeman of Indianapolis, IN; four grandchildren, Alex Compton, Jonah Compton, Jersey Smith, and Julia Garland; and a sister, Rhonda. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, January 20, 2015, at the Carpenter-Fritz & Vice Funeral Home officiated by Pastor David Shoemaker. Burial will be in Fleming County Cemetery. Visitation will be 11:00 am until the hour of service Tuesday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Alex Garland, Billy Compton, Willie Lubkeman, Alex Compton, Harley Bowles Jr., and Greg Lubkeman.
