Sydney Wayne Hatfield

Sydney Wayne Hatfield, 89, of Flemingsburg, Kentucky passed away Tuesday March 11, 2025 at his residence, surrounded by his family. 

He was born May 14, 1935 in New Braunfels, Texas a son of the late Johnnie Sidney Hatfield and Ethel Lorena Taylor.

Sydney was a United States Air Force veteran, having proudly served his country over 20 years. He was also a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Maysville Branch.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Sue Ann Withrow Hatfield.

Survivors include three children, Keith Hatfield (Robin) of Flemingsburg, Ronald Wayne Hatfield (Martina) of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Susan Sonofelt (Ray); ten grandchildren, Jonathan, Ashley, Paul, Aaron, Danielle, Matthew, Angela, Ronnie, Devan, and Jennifer; a host of great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at the Mt. Carmel Cemetery conducted by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Maysville Branch.
