Sherman Gilbert Sexton, 77, of Cincinnati, formerly of Flemingsburg, widower of Nellie Mae DeAtley Sexton, passed away Thursday, February 27, 2014 at the University of Cincinnati Hospital. He was born May 17, 1936 in Bath County to the late Henry and Nettie Mae Thomas Sexton. Sherman was a retired maintenance worker with the State Highway. He loved Bluegrass music which he listened to loudly because he couldn't hear well and he loved the Kentucky Wildcats. Sherman also loved his daughter-in-law's peanut butter balls which she would make especially for him and keep all to himself. Most of all though, Sherman loved the Lord. He loved telling other people of God's word and making sure they were right with the Lord. He is survived by: two sons, Wayne (Robin) Sexton of Douglas, GA, and Stevie Lee (Donna Sue) Sexton of Mayslick; grandchildren, Angela Mae (Brandon) Sexton of Fleming County, Felicia (Scott) Fishbaugh of Ft. Wayne, IN, Kimberly Sexton of Douglas, GA, Jessica (Tommy) Love of Douglas, GA, Joshua Wayne (Katie) Sexton of Douglas, GA, and Bobby Wayne Fulton of Lexington; 11 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Billy Ray Sexton of Marion, IN.
