Shelvey Robertson

Shelvey Earlywine Hinton Robertson, 78, wife of Howard H. Robertson, passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at St. Joseph East Hospital in Lexington. She was born April 13, 1939 in Mason County, the daughter of the late Virgie Beckett Bridges and the late Wilson H. Earlywine.

A graduate of the Class of 1957 from Fleming County High School, Shelvey was a retired housekeeper from Fleming County Hospital. She was a member of the Elizaville Christian Church where she was a member of the Ladies Circle. Shelvey was also a member of the Fleming County Quilters, past Chairman of the Kentucky Farm Bureau Womens Auxiliary, past president of the Ewing Elementary PTA, and a 4-H leader.

Besides her husband, she is survived by: her daughter, Debra (Dennis) Seltsam of Grand Rivers, KY; her son, Steven Hinton of Fleming County; two grandchildren, Stacia (Brent) Cockrell of Cynthiana, and Casey Hinton (Michelle) of Lexington; two great-grandchildren, Brynlea Cockrell, and Zane Cockrell, both of Cynthiana; step-daughter, Tina Henderer of Bethel, OH; step-son, Dennis Mitchell of Lewis County; two brothers, Jerry Bridges of Fleming County, and David Bridges of Lakeland, FL; and two step-grandchildren, Keith (Stacey) Good of Independence, KY, and Kindyl Good of Bethel, OH. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by: a brother, Brooks Earlywine; and first husband, Donald L. Hinton.

A Celebration of Life service will be held 1:00 pm Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Elizaville Christian Church officiated by Randy Barker. Visitation will be 11am-1pm Saturday at the church. Burial of cremains will be private. Memorials are suggested to the Womens Christian Circle of Elizaville Christian Church, 155 Alice Ave., Flemingsburg, KY 41041 or to the Fleming County Library, 202 Bypass Blvd, Flemingsburg, KY 41041 or to a charity of one's choice .
