Sara Dan Blair Tribby, 79, of Mayslick as well as a former resident of Atlantic Beach, NC, and beloved wife of 61 years to Robert 'Buck' Tribby, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at The Care Center at Kenton Pointe.

Born in Fleming County on December 12, 1937, she was a daughter of the late George William and Nellie Frances Carpenter Blair. An avid tennis player and UK Basketball fan, Sara Dan was all about her family. She was very proud of her children as well as grandchildren, and made sure that they all had the love, support, as well as the tenacity and work ethic to become productive, loving, and community serving people. She instilled in each one of them the importance of making family the number one priority. Sara Dan enjoyed playing Euchre, researching genealogy, and shopping, of which she had a wonderful eye for decorating.

Besides her husband, she is survived by: a son, Bob (Pam) Tribby of Mayslick; a daughter, Susan Blair Tribby of Lexington; granddaughter, Blair Nicole Anders of Richmond, VA; granddaughter-in-law, Rebecca Walton Tribby of Mt. Sterling; a sister, Mary Bruce (James) Hamm of Cincinnati; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by: a grandson, Anson Blake Tribby; and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Anson Robert and Douglas Graham Tribby.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Elizaville Christian Church officiated by Rev. Richard Anderson and Rev. James Watkins. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Friday, June 2nd at the church. Burial will be in Elizaville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Hospice of Hope, 909 Kenton Station Dr., Maysville, KY 41056 or to Trooper Island, c/o Kentucky State Police, P.O. Box 473, Albany, KY42602. Arrangements are in care of Carpenter-Fritz & Vice Funeral Home.
