Russell Frederick, Sr.

Russell C. Frederick, Sr., 76, of Flemingsburg, loving husband for 48 years to Glenn Ellen Frederick, passed away peacefully Thursday, January 23, 2014 at his residence. Born March 28, 1937 in Ewing, he was the son of the late Gus Henry and Viola Lee Crawford Frederick.

A member of Flemingsburg Baptist Church, Russell was retired with distinguished service from the U.S. Army and was a member of Masonic Favorite Lodge #581. Besides his wife, he is survived by: a son, Russell (Sara) Frederick, Jr. of Maysville; a daughter, Rita (Marvin) Flora of Hilltop; grandchildren, Billy (Crystal) Mozingo, John (Mariah) Storer, Timothy (Brittney) Storer, Christopher (Emily) Storer, Tyler Frederick, Savanna Frederick, Harrison (Sierra) Flora, and Erica (Brandon) Flora; several great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Dorothy (Jim) Bechtel of Harrodsburg. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Vaughn.

Public visitation will be 5-8 pm Monday, January 27, 2014 at Denton-Workman Funeral Home with Masonic Rites at 7 pm performed by Masonic Favorite Lodge #581. Funeral services will be private. Pallbearers will be Russell Frederick, Jr., Christopher Storer, Billy Mozingo, Marvin Flora, Tyler Frederick, and Harrison Flora. Memorials are suggested to a charity of one's choice.
