Peggy A. Vice, 79, wife of Obert 'Junior' Vice, passed away Sunday, September 4, 2016 at Fleming County Hospital. She was born on July 8, 1937 in Fleming County, the daughter of the late Homer and Mary Parker McIntyre.
Peggy was a cook at Fleming County Hospital for 21 years and Pioneer Trace Nursing Home for seven years. She attended New Vision Church of God and she was an avid UK fan. Peggy was an animal lover and she loved her cats, but most of all, Peggy loved her family, especially her grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she is survived by: her daughter, Mary Ann (Michael D.) Florence of Flemingsburg; her son, Gary Wayne McIntyre of Flemingsburg; two grandchildren, Garren and Gillian Florence; a brother, Charles 'Buddy' (Darlene) McIntyre of Mason County; special sister-in-law, Lorene Bishop of Flemingsburg; sister-in-law Mildred McIntyre of Bethel, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Everett Eugene McIntyre, and William 'Billy' McIntyre.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Thursday, September 8, 2016 at Carpenter-Fritz & Vice Funeral Home officiated by Pastor Cleve King and Pastor Justin Holbrook. Visitation will be 11am -' 2pm Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Elizaville Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Terry Hardy, Jeff Hardy, Galen Hardy, Michael D. Florence, Mike King, Jason Bishop, and Robert Bishop, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Buddy McIntyre, Robert Bishop, Sr., Eddie Vice, Marcus Florence, Jr., and Frank Vice.
