Naomia Carpenter

Naomia Frances Carpenter, 94, of Wallingford, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2022 at the Pioneer Trace Nursing Home in Flemingsburg, Kentucky.

She was born on May 28, 1927 in Lewis County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Otha Wagner and Elizabeth Lamar Wagner.

Mrs. Carpenter was a homemaker and a member of the Pleasant Valley Church of Christ.

She enjoyed cooking, gardening, quilting and farming, especially taking care of cattle.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Edgar Carpenter and one son, Melvin Carpenter.

Survivors include her son, Eric Carpenter (Aileen) of Beechburg, Kentucky, her daughter, Mona Beckett (Bill) of Foxport, Kentucky, daughter-in-law, Brenda Carpenter of Mason County, Kentucky, five grandchildren, Kenton Carpenter of Beechburg, Kendra Stamm (Brian) of Pleasureville, Kentucky, and Troy Carpenter (Penny), Trent Carpenter (Bridgette) and Michelle Carpenter all of Orangeburg, Kentucky, five great-grandchildren, Samantha Stamm, Bob Carpenter, Sam Carpenter, Kurtis Carpenter (Erica) and Kyle Carpenter and two great-great-grandchildren, Charlotte Grace Carpenter and Karsyn Carpenter.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, March 31, 2022 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Flemingsburg with Brother Tom Mitchell officiating.

Burial will follow in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery.

Visitation is after 12:00 Noon Thursday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Troy Carpenter, Trent Carpenter, Brian Stamm, Kenton Carpenter, Bob Carpenter, Sam Carpenter, Kyle Carpenter and Kurtis Carpenter.

Honorary pallbearers will be Samantha Stamm, Charlotte Carpenter, Kendra Stamm, Michelle Carpenter and Karsyn Carpenter.

Contributions are suggested to the Gideons International or the Pleasant Valley Church of Christ.
