Myrtle Mae Tribby, age 91 of Flemingsburg, widow of Adrian Tribby, passed away Friday, July 10, 2020 at the Hospice of Hope Care Center in Maysville. She was born on March 20, 1929 in Fleming County, a daughter of the late William A. and Cora Belle Overly Planck. Myrtle was of the Protestant Faith and retired after 42 years of service as a cafeteria cook at Flemingsburg Elementary. Myrtle also had a very loving and generous heart. She gave to charities throughout her life and was known to be kind and generous to the kids at school. She is survived by: two sisters, Sudie Ruggles of Hillsboro, OH and Lou Ellen Story of Englewood, OH; nephews and nieces, Roger (Sally) Ruggles of Hillsboro, OH, Wesley (Cathy) Ruggles of Blanchester, OH, Sharron Story of Dayton, OH, Darlene (Hong) Choe of Land-O-Lakes, FL, Patricia (Johnny) Johnson of Kannapolis, NC, Patsy Arnold of Flemingsburg, Melinda Hamilton of Flemingsburg, Leonard Eubanks of Flemingsburg, James Eubanks of Fleming County, Jerry Eubanks of Flemingsburg, Melody Tribby of Salisbury, NC, and Jackie Tribby of Dayton, OH; and numerous great-nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by: a sister, Pearl Tribby; two infant brothers; and three brothers-in-law, Thomas Ruggles, Buck Story, and Leo Tribby. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Monday, July 13, 2020 at Carpenter-Fritz & Vice Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Tracy R. Parker. Visitation will be 11am-1pm Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fleming County Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to a charity of one’s choice.
