Myrtle Perkins

November 30, 1932 — May 19, 2015

Myrtle Mae Roberts Allen Perkins, 82, widow of Robert C. Allen, passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at Fleming County Hospital. She was born November 30, 1932 in Beechburg, a daughter of the late James William and Goldie Beckett Roberts.

Myrtle was a homemaker and had also worked at Fleming County Hospital and Pioneer Trace Nursing Home as a nurses aid, which she thoroughly enjoyed. Myrtle attended the Grange City Christian Church and she enjoyed crocheting, and mingling with people such as visiting with cousins and talking to neighbors.

She is survived by: her children, Diane (Terry) Planck, Alberta Allen, Robbie Allen, Jerry Allen, and Noel Perkins; grandchildren, Lisa Planck, Jamie (Rene') Planck, Rachel (David) Robinson, Clay (Kathy) Pollitt, Jarrad (Sarah) Pollitt, Shawn, Shannon, Jeremy, and Erica Allen, Elizabeth Brown, Mitchell Fogle, and Nathan Perkins; great-grandchildren, Megan Planck, Diana and Aaron Hickerson, Robert Robinson, Daulton Pollitt, Jordan Pollitt, Calleigh Allen, Blake Cannon, Dillon and Justin Bellamy, Madison Bradley, Breanna Ramey, Sarah, Rebecca, and Abby Moore, and Audrey and Regan Fogle. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by: two sons, Clell Allen and Oval Allen; and sisters, Lydia B. Thomas, and Betty Bryant.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Saturday, May 23, 2015 at the Carpenter-Fritz & Vice Funeral Home officiated by Bro. Richard Engle. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Friday, May 22nd at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fleming County Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Clay Pollitt, Jarrad Pollitt, Shawn Allen, Jamie Planck, William Thomas,and Daulton Pollitt.
