Michael Dickson

Michael Keith Dickson, 60, of Sorrento, FL and formerly of Flemingsburg, went to be with the Lord on February 16, 2017. Born November 11, 1956 in Maysville, he was the son of Dorothy Dickson Jolly and the late Ronald Jolly.

Mike had worked at Jerry's IGA, Denton Funeral Home, and the City of Flemingsburg and was currently employed with the City of Mount Dora, FL upon his passing. He loved to watch University of Kentucky Basketball, being outdoors, and he was a baseball umpire and basketball referee for 22 years. He is survived by: his wife Tammy Sams Dickson; his daughter, Amber Wright; two granddaughters, Destiny Wright and Gracie Wright; step-son/son,Chris Manning; step-grandchildren/grandchildren, Dillon, Logan, Emily, and Bayley; two sisters, Darlene Harding (Jerry Mitchell) and Nancy (Johnson) Barnett, both of Ewing; five nephews, Josh (Holly) Harding, Justin Harding, L.J. (Jennifer) Barnett, Michael Barnett, and Dalton Barnett. He was preceded in death by a special aunt, Betty Honaker. Mike was loved by all and especially loved by the city of Mount Dora where he most recently lived.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Saturday, February 25, 2017 at the Carpenter-Fritz & Vice Funeral Home officiated by Pastor Greg Grimes. Visitation will be 10am to 2pm Saturday, February 25th at the funeral home. Private burial of cremains will take place at a later date.
