Mary Hendrix

Mary Throckmorton Hendrix, 103, of Flemingsburg, widow of Jewel T. Hendrix, passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at Fleming County Hospital. She was born on August 31, 1912 in Pleasant Valley in Nicholas County, a daughter of the late Robert Lee and Bertha Mitchell Throckmorton. A homemaker, Mary was a member of Flemingsburg Christian Church. She loved animals and flowers but most of all, she loved her family.

Survivors include: four grandchildren, Stephanie (Rick) Dailey of Flemingsburg, William Taylor Hendrix of Flemingsburg, Mark T. (Donna) Hendrix of Flemingsburg, and Eric (Aimee) Mai of Cincinnati; great-grandchildren, Hunter and Cameron Dailey, Maisie and Maleah Hendrix, and Aaron and Alex Mai; and a son-in-law, Bob Mai of Cincinnati. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by: a son, Mark Hendrix; a daughter, Patti Mai; sister, Jessie Dayton; and her twin sister, Permelia Dollins.

Funeral services will be 3:30 pm Sunday, February 28, 2016 at the Carpenter-Fritz & Vice Funeral Home officiated by the Rev. Peter Morgan and the Rev. Norman Wasson. Visitation will be 1:30 to 3:30 pm Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fleming County Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Flemingsburg Christian Church Scholarship Fund, 201 E.
