Marion C. Eitel, 83, of Flemingsburg and formerly of Milford, OH, widower of Norma Irwin Eitel, passed away Monday, October 17, 2016 at the Hospice of Hope Care Center at Kenton Pointe in Maysville. He was born on August 10, 1933 in Maysville, a son of the late William Y. and Minnie Greenly Eitel.
A US Army veteran of the Korean War, Marion was a retired Karate Instructor and former owner/operator of Milford's Korean Karate School. Marion was also a very talented guitarist and singer having played in numerous Cincinnati area clubs.
He is survived by: two daughters, Deborah Christie and Carrie Eitel; a son, David Eitel; two grandchildren, Billy Eitel and Katrina (Robert) Fiasco; three great-grandchildren, Makayla, Liam, and Gavin; a sister, Carolyn Eitel (Bob); and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, Marvin and Helen Eitel.
A graveside service will be held at 2:30 pm Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at Graceland Memorial Gardens in Milford, OH officiated by the Rev. Peter Morgan and Military Funeral Honors performed by the Southwest Ohio VFW Memorial Team. Visitation will be 9:30 am -' 11:30 am Tuesday, October 25th at the Carpenter-Fritz & Vice Funeral Home in Flemingsburg.
