Mrs. Marian Adams Rye, 92 of Flemingsburg, passed away Monday, November 9, 2020 at the Hospice of Hope Care Center in Maysville. She was born March 23, 1928 in Illinois to the late Leonard and Katherine Ring Adams.
She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Flemingsburg and enjoyed playing bridge, golf, cooking and was an avid reader. Mrs. Rye was retired as the director of the Housing Authority of Flemingsburg.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Austin M. "Jack" Rye, her son Ronnie M. Rye, a daughter Kathy L. Rye and her brother Leonard Ray Adams.
Survivors include one daughter Jane Ellen (Mike) Stephens of Lexington. Daughter-in-law, Nancy Rye of Flemingsburg. Sister-in-law, Jane Adams of Flemingsburg. Grandchildren; Holly Oetken, Mollie Schrichten, Austin M. Stephens and Julie Combs. Great-grandchildren; Hayden Oetken, Cate Oetken and Katie Combs and special friend, Loretta Ramey of Flemingsburg.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 12, 2020 in the Chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Flemingsburg with Father Phil Devous officiating.
Burial will follow in the Fleming County Cemetery.
Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Flemingsburg is after 12 noon Thursday.
Serving as pall bearers will be Mike Stephens, Jim Wilson, Austin Stephens, Stevie Adams, Hayden Oetken and Danny Vice.
