Larry Gilvin

Larry Gilvin, age 68, left the earthly arms that held him on earth on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 and entered the arms of his Heavenly Father, unexpectedly leaving his loving wife of 38 years, Bonnie S. Gilvin. Larry was born on August 7, 1946 in Nicholas County, a son of Frances Gilvin of Carlisle and the late Eugene Gilvin. A member of Carlisle Christian Church, Larry was a friend to everybody and he loved to square dance. Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by: two brothers, Lloyd Gilvin of Carlisle, and Billy R. (Georgia) Gilvin of Carlisle; two sisters, Mary Sargent of Cynthiana, and Betty Fay (Billy) Barnes of Salt Lick; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Besides his father, he was preceded in death by: two brothers, Floyd and Sonny Gilvin; and a sister, Judy Lynn Gilvin. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Monday, April 27, 2015 at the Carpenter-Fritz & Vice Funeral Home officiated by Bro. Herbie Stallard. Visitation will be 11:00am - 1:00 pm Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Elizaville Cemetery.
