Justine Ellison Gulley

Justine Ellison Gulley, 87, of Flemingsburg, Kentucky passed away peacefully Sunday, March 2, 2025 at her residence surrounded by her family. 

She was born November 16, 1937 in Fleming County, Kentucky a daughter of the late Lawrence Ellison and Leura Roseberry Ellison.

Justine was a hairdresser and owned and operated Justine's Hair Design for many years. She was a member of the Kentucky Christian Holiness Church. She enjoyed making candy, cooking, traveling, and shopping, she mostly enjoyed spending time with her family. She was also an avid University of Kentucky Wildcats fan. 

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William A. "Bill" Gulley.

She leaves to mourn her passing, her family which includes two sons, Bill Gulley and Anthony Gulley (Cathy) both of Flemingsburg, Kentucky; one daughter, Renita Johnson (Mike) also of Flemingsburg; two sisters, Eula Mae Flora of Hillsboro, Kentucky and Pauline Reeves of Flemingsburg; seven grandchildren, Shawna Burgess (Chad), Katrina Rechtin (Rory), Carla Keeling, Jenna Gulley, Will Gulley, Kenneth Johnson, and Zander Gulley; eight great grandchildren, Joshua Hitch, Jacob Hitch, Makayla Stidam, Dylan Stidam, Reed Rechtin, Drake Rechtin, Megan Burgess, William Burgess and Gracie Keeling; five great-great grandchildren; Several other relatives and friends.

Services will be held privately by the family at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Flemingsburg with Pastor John Lewis and Pastor Doug Reeves. 

Justine will be laid to rest in the Ramey's Chapel Cemetery in Fleming County.

Casket bearers will be David Flora, Rory Rechtin, Chad Burgess, Mike Johnson, Kenneth Johnson, Zander Gulley, Danny Gulley, and Dylan Stidam.

Honorary casket bearers will be William Burgess, Jacob Hitch and Mike Flora. 

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Cancer Care Club or the Kentucky Christian Holiness Church.
