Joyce Ann Linville, age 82 of Flemingsburg, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at Fleming County Hospital. Born on March 9, 1936 in Fleming County, she was a daughter of the late Oney and Elizabeth Allison Leet. Joyce was retired from the Nicholas County Hospital where she worked in housekeeping. Joyce grew up attending the Mt. Tabor UMC. In her spare time she loved to cook and was an excellent candy maker. Most of all, Joyce loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by: grandchildren, Nathan Linville of Carlisle, Nicholas (Mindy) Linville of Carlisle, Aaron (Andrea) Withrow of Flemingsburg, Jennifer (Clay) Yocum of Paris, and Bradley Linville of Morehead; and great-grandchildren, Heather Yocum, Cash Linville, Carly Yocum, Callie Linville, Quinn Linville, Conner Withrow, Cadin Withrow, and Brady Withrow. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by: her only son, Darrell Keith Linville; and three sisters, Christine Ruark, Mildred Dayton, and Clarine Burke Hall. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Wednesday, September 26, 2018 in the Chapel of Carpenter-Fritz & Vice Funeral Home officiated by Pastor Greg Grimes. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Tuesday, September 25th at the funeral home. Burial will be in Goddard Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Jerome Bruner, Jordan Bruner, Aaron Withrow, Nicholas Linville, Bradley Linville, and David Linville. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Burke, Wayne Bruner, Gary Miller, Larry Dearing, Wayne Grimes, Kenny Marshall, and Jeff Burke. Memorials are suggested to the Mt. Tabor UMC, P.O. Box 2, Ewing, KY 41039.
