Joshua Lane Perry, age 17, of Fleming County, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at Fleming County Hospital. He was born on September 4, 2002 in Maysville, the son of Helen Marie Rowe and Rocky Lane Perry of Fleming County. Josh was always smiling whenever you saw him. He was loved by his family and friends and enjoyed spending time with his entire family. Besides his parents, he is survived by: three sisters, Courtney Perry (Virgil Hurst) of Flemingsburg, Brittany Perry (Jake Campbell) of Tennessee, and Corrie Perry (Braxton Upthegrove) of Lexington; nieces and nephews, Caden Perry, Tyler Hurst, Henley Thorpe, and Paisley Upthegrove; aunts and uncles, Bonita Gulley, Marry Rowe, Melissa Perry, Sonya Perry (Hector Bustos), Gayle Rowe, Jr., Alisha Rowe, Mike Rowe, and Jodi Rowe; cousins, Christa Treadway, Amanda Burkhart, Robert Rowe, Scotty Gulley, Leo Rowe, Serena Rowe, Trenton Rowe, and Ashley Burkhart; grandparents, Nancey and Bill Chapman, and Gayle Rowe, Sr.; best friend, Ryan Spivey; and close friend, Shauna Saylor. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Mimi Perry, Betty Rowe, and Louise and Tobe Perry. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Monday, November 18, 2019 in the chapel of Carpenter-Fritz & Vice Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Gail Skaggs. Visitation will be 11am-1pm Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Longview Cemetery in Bethel. Pallbearers will be Lonnie Spivey, Ryan Spivey, Cody Faris, Virgil Hurst, Braxton Upthegrove, and Jake Campbell.
