James Clark

James Sankey Clark, 69, of Ewing, KY passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2017.

He was preceded in death by his parents Perry and Mary Thelma Clark, a brother, Perry A., and a sister, Patricia Major. He is survived by his children, Brian Clark and his wife Julie of Ewing, Amy Platt and her husband, Shawn of Bethel, CT, and Kelly Clark Wesley of Nicholasville, KY; 8 grandchildren, three sisters, Ruth West of Michigan, Diane Green and Lisa Toth of Nicholasville, three brothers, George Clark and Bobby Clark of Lexington and Jeff Clark of Nicholasville and numerous nieces and nephews.

Sankey was born in Jessamine County, and graduated from Jessamine County High School. He served in the U. S. Army from 1967 until 1973 and retired from Lexmark after 30 years. He raised cattle and tobacco on his farms in Nicholasville and Ewing.

Calling hours will be from 3:00pm - 5:00pm on Sunday, January 8, 2017 at Carpenter, Fritz & Vice Funeral Home located at 405 S Main Cross St, Flemingsburg, KY. A graveside service will take place at 11:00am on Monday, January 9, 2017 at Camp Nelson National Cemetery located at 6980 Danville Rd., Nicholasville, KY

The family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association (heart.org).
