Howard Milton "Harvey" Briggs, 80 of Flemingsburg, Kentucky passed away Thursday, March 24, 2022, at the West Liberty Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in West Liberty, Kentucky after an extended illness.
He was born July 22, 1941, in Miamisburg, Ohio to the late Rev. Leslie Scott Briggs and Ethel Purcell Briggs.
Howard is survived by his wife, Martha Joy Lacy Briggs, one daughter Pam Briggs and one son Marc Briggs. Also, three grandchildren, Eric Briggs, Ashley Briggs and Bryce Briggs all of Erlanger. One sister, MaryLee Helton (Neil) his caregiver and a special cousin, Connie Johnson., whom he called his two mothers.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Henry Scott Briggs.
Howard was a graduate of Morehead State University, he taught school, he served as a minister and minister of music for many years. He also served as director of the senior programs of the church.
Howard always looked for what he could do for others. He was truly a servant for God.
Memorial services will be conducted 2:00 pm Saturday, April 2, 2022, in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Flemingsburg with Pastor Larry Ingram officiating.
Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Flemingsburg is after 12:00 noon Saturday.
