G.C. Vice

G.C. Vice, 85, passed away quietly at his home on Monday, February 12, 2018. C and his wife, Wanda Mitchell Vice, were soon to celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary. Born May 19, 1932 in Bath County, he was a son of the late Morris and Hester Jackson Vice. C was a faithful member of Elizaville Christian Church where he served as Deacon. He was a lifelong dairy and tobacco farmer raising Clay's Seed tobacco for thirty years, a former co-owner of Elizaville Service Station, and he also drove a Carnation Milk truck for eight years. C served on the Farm Bureau Board of Directors, the Elizaville Cemetery Board, the Fleming County FHA Board, and also served as a Delegate for Dairy Farmers of America. Besides his wife, he is survived by: a daughter, Lisa Ann (Michael) Hamm of Mason County; a son, Terry Micheal (Gayle) Vice of Fleming County; grandchildren, Ryan Hamm, Cody Hamm, Brandon Hamm, Kim (Chuck) Bailey, and David Tullar; "special adopted son", Terry (Ann) Kinder of Ewing; two brothers, Ewell (Shirley) Vice of Flemingsburg, and Orville "Jack" Vice of Maysville; and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Alvin, Elgin, Floyd, Gano, G.T., Leona, Viola, and Geneva. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Elizaville Christian Church officiated by Rev. Richard Anderson and Rev. James Watkins. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Wednesday, February 14th at the church. Burial will be in Elizaville Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Ryan Hamm, Cody Hamm, Brandon Hamm, Terry Kinder, Gary Kinder, and Donald McCord. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Cooper, Buster Bailey, Chuck Bailey, Randy Barker, Emmitt Ray, and Larry Buzzard.
