Emery Clay Vice, 95, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on April 30, 2019. He had spent the last 2 years in North Carolina with his oldest son, Rick and his family. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Alice Dryden Vice, his father and mother, Chessie Owen Vice and Sarah Kingsolver Vice, his three older brothers, Carl, Frank and Merrill as well as his twin sister, Emma V. Fritz. He is survived by his children, Richard Lee Vice, Sara Alice Vice Coates and John Mark Vice, along with 8 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. He was a life-long farmer in the Mayslick area. Emery was active in his church, the Mayslick Lions Club and the Gideons International. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, May 25, 2019 at Victory Christian Center, located at 719 US Hwy 62, Maysville, KY. Officiating will be Pastor Byron Mills, Emery’s spiritual advisor, pastor and friend. A private graveside ceremony at the Maysville Cemetery will precede the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Emery’s name to the Gideon’s organization or to Victory Christian Center.
