Edward Allen "Bub" Rice Jr.

Edward Allen "Bub" Rice Jr. 63, of the Beechburg community passed away Wednesday,  April 16, 2025 at the Saint Joseph Hospital-Main in Lexington, Kentucky. 

Bub was born March 17, 1962 in Maysville, Kentucky a son of Ann Beckett Rice and the late Edward Allen "Heavy" Rice.

He was a graduate of Fleming County High School, Maysville Community and Technical College. He was a mechanic for the Kentucky Department of Transportation. He enjoyed playing golf, boating, camping, cooking and taking trips to Las Vegas. Bub was of the Christian Faith.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his mother, Ann Beckett Rice of Beechburg, Kentucky; one brother, Keith Rice also of Beechburg; one sister, Rhonda Ripato (Robert) of Mt. Carmel, Kentucky; two nieces, Megan King and Sierra Hunt; one nephew, Cory Ripato; also several other relatives and friends..

Funeral Services will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 22, 2025 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Flemingsburg with Brother James Ray Hickerson and Brother Silas Ripato officiating.

Bub will be laid to rest in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery

Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.

Family and friends will serve as casket bearers.
