Donnie McDonald

Donnie Ray McDonald, 71, of Tilton, husband of 47 years to Linda Cooper McDonald, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at Fleming County Hospital. Born January 31, 1943 in Tilton, he was the son of the late Robert and Catherine Planck McDonald. Donnie Ray was a farmer and cattle trader. He loved dealing with cattle and you could find him at any of the Stockyards in the surrounding counties. Donnie Ray also was a family man. He loved his wife and daughters and especially his grandchildren. Besides his wife, he is survived by: two daughters, Melissa (Robert) Leet of Tilton and Rae Jean (Tim) Jessee of Dalesburg; and two grandchildren, Branson and Garrett Leet. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Thursday, March 20, 2014 at Carpenter-Fritz & Vice Funeral Home (formerly known as Denton-Workman Funeral Home) by the Rev. Gail Skaggs. Visitation will be 6-9 pm Wednesday, March 19th at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fleming County Cemetery. Condolences may be made at www.dentonworkman.com
