Dixie Lee 'Turk' Coleman, 72, of Flemingsburg, passed away Monday, June 2, 2014 at Fleming County Hospital. Born July 11, 1941 in Flemingsburg, he was the son of the late Louie H. and Mary Ruth Faris Coleman. Dixie was a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. He loved church music and the Louisville Cardinals. He is survived by a brother, Arthur Louis Coleman and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Flora Amelia Collins, James Walter Coleman, Jenny Elizabeth Gilmore, and Delores Jean Chenault. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Friday, June 6, 2014 at the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Lenyai Croley officiating. Visitation will be 11:00 am until the hour of service Friday at the church. Burial will be in Fleming County Cemetery with Military Honors performed by the W.N. Fant American Legion Post #5 and the Franklin Sousley VFW Post #1834. Carpenter-Fritz & Vice Funeral Home is in care of funeral arrangements. Condolences may be made at www.carpenterfritzvicefh.com
