Dennis Richards

Dennis G. Richards, 63, of Flemingsburg, husband of Mary Horsley Richards, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, January 29, 2018. Born in Lake City, FL, he was the son of the late Willie G. and Carrie Bell Crawford Richards. A retired Corrections Officer with the Florida Department of Corrections, Dennis was a member of the Congregation of Jehovah's Witness. Dennis loved watching college football and was a huge Florida Gators fan. He also enjoyed music and fishing and hunting in his younger years. Besides his wife, he is survived by: a brother, William M. (Paula) Richards of Lake City, FL; niece, Deanna Morrison of Florida; nephew, Cody Richards of Florida; and two step-children, Jennifer Blevins of Salt Lick, KY and Timothy Bryant of Georgia. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Carpenter-Fritz & Vice Funeral Home is in care of final arrangement details.
