Darlene Hornsby

August 16, 1949 — December 25, 2014

Darlene Hornsby, 65, of Flemingsburg, beloved wife of Tim Hornsby, went home to be with the Lord on December 25, 2014. Born in Cincinnati on August 16, 1949, she was the daughter of Ina Neiheisel of Flemingsburg and the late Frank Neiheisel.

A member of Flemingsburg Baptist Church, Darlene was a homemaker, and loved spending time with her family. She was deeply devoted to all of her family and adored her grandchildren. Darlene loved going to the beach and going fishing, and also had a love for birds.

Besides her mother and devoted and faithful husband, she is survived by: a son, Lucian Tim (Jennifer) Hornsby II of Phoenix, AZ; three daughters, Tammy (Andy) Rice of Augusta, KY, Tricia Hornsby of Tillsonburg, Canada, and Tiffany (Jason) McKenzie of Morehead, KY; and eight grandchildren, Cassidy Hornsby, Timmy Hornsby, Nicholas Rice, Tyler Rice, Kaitlyn McKenzie, Haley McKenzie, Samuel McKenzie, and Titus McKenzie.

Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Monday, December 29, 2014 at the Flemingsburg Baptist Church officiated by Bro. Parkey Thompson. Visitation will be 11am until the hour of service Monday at the church. Burial will be in Fleming County Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tim Hornsby, Lucian Tim Hornsby, Andy Rice, Jason McKenzie, Nicholas Rice, and Tyler Rice. Honorary pallbearer will be Timmy Hornsby.
