Charles William Spurlock, 64, of Flemingsburg, was born February 22, 1953 in Fleming County to the late Emmitt and Madeline King Spurlock. Charles went to be with his wife surrounded by his loved ones on Saturday, October 21, 2017, his fight is over and pain is gone. He worked for Fleming County Farm Supply for twenty years and will be sadly missed by many. Charles is survived by: his daughter Jenny Cottey of Flemingsburg; his son, Chuck (Judy) Spurlock of Minerva, KY; his grandchildren, Kayla, Gina, and Hayley Cottey all of Flemingsburg, Lisa Spurlock of Minerva, and Carrie Bauer of Brooksville, KY; three great-grandchildren; five sisters, Alice (Roy) Oberbey of Ewing, Evelyn (Dillard) Busbey of Gaylesville, AL, Marilyn Pinks of Winter Haven, FL, Janet (Randy) Spencer of Wallingford, and Debbie (Kenneth) Gulley of Wallingford. In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by: his wife, Lisa Smoot Spurlock; four brothers, Sonny, James, Ray, and Frank Spurlock; and two sisters, Jo Ann Kerns, and Martha Malone. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Carpenter-Fritz & Vice Funeral Home officiated by Bro. Jesse Hickerson, Jr. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Wednesday, October 25th at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Colfax.
