Arlene Neal

Arlene Gatman Neal age 73 of Evans Hollow Road ,Hillsboro Kentucky passed away Tuesday evening March 22, 2022 at St. Claire Healthcare in Morehead Kentucky.  She was born January 5,1949 in Covington Kentucky to the late Frank Gatman and Ruth Curley Gatman.

She was a member of the Judah Christian Fellowship where she led youth activities. Arlene enjoyed reading, sewing and was an avid flower gardener. She was known to be an excellent cook and an animal lover. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Gordon Neal and one brother Robert Gatman.

Survivors include one son Kenny Neal of Hillsboro, two daughters Heather Neal of Hillsboro and Tamra Smith of Covington Kentucky. Two brothers, Richard (Joey) Gatman of Erlanger Kentucky, Father Ronald Gatman, O.S.B. of Savannah Georgia. Four Grandchildren, Kennedy Smithwick, Lilly Neal, Terrence Smith and Marcus Smith. Three Great-grandchildren, Reaves Smithwick, Raelynn Smith and Marcus Smith Jr. Also, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:30pm  Saturday March 26 2022, in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Flemingsburg with Pastor Steve Leitz officiating.

Burial will follow in the Newman Cemetery.

Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Flemingsburg is after 1:00PM Saturday until the time of service.

Casket Bearers will be Father Ronald Gatman, O.S.B, Richard Gatman, T.J. Smith, Marcus Smith, Kenny Neal and Troy Meadows.
