Ann Peters Harding, 88 of Flemingsburg, widow of Eldred T. “Buddy” Harding to whom she was married for 67 years, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at Optimized Senior Living in Lebanon, OH. She was born on May 17, 1932 in Fleming County, the daughter of the late Thomas A. and Genevieve Jones Peters. A lifelong resident of Fleming County, Ann and her late husband were members of the Flemingsburg First United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Fleming County Garden Club and past member of the Fleming County Golf Association where they enjoyed many years of playing golf with friends. Ann enjoyed playing Bridge and spending time at Park Lake where she and her family shared many fond memories. She is survived by: a son, Dr. David E. (Cynthia C.) Harding of Tuscaloosa, AL; a daughter, Debra H. (Dr. Robert E.) Buring of West Chester, OH; grandchildren, Christopher Harding of Atlanta, GA, Keaton Harding of Birmingham, AL, Julie A. (Scott) Hughes of Burlington, KY, and Robert A. (Danielle) Buring of Burlington, KY; and six great-grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by: her twin brother, Charles E. Peters; and brother Thomas A. Peters, Jr. Public Visitation will be 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm Saturday, June 20, 2020 at Carpenter-Fritz & Vice Funeral Home. The funeral service will be private with burial to follow in the Flemingsburg Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chris Harding, Keaton Harding, Bill Hillis, Charles Peters, Jr., James Smoot, Dr. William G. Bacon, Rob Buring, and Travis Walton. Memorials are suggested to the Flemingsburg First United Methodist Church, 117 W. Main St., Flemingsburg, KY 41041.
