Alberta Dillon Foxworthy Barker, widow of Roy Barker, passed away Thursday, April 3, 2014 at the St. Joseph Hospice Care Center in Lexington. Born October 26, 1933 in Fleming County, she was the 2nd of 9 children of Tom and Lena Dillon. After spending 40 years in San Diego, CA, she retired from San Diego County and returned to Fleming County to help with her aging mother. She is survived by: two daughters, Vicki Foxworthy (Reg) Elliott of Lexington, and Deborah Foxworthy of Flemingsburg; a grandson, Bryan (Martha) Himes of Lexington; three great-grandchildren, Ruby, Reese, and River Himes, all of Lexington; two sisters, Wanda Owens of Cincinnati, OH, and Judy Denton of Flemingsburg; and three brothers, Mark, Jerry, and Barry Dillon, all of Flemingsburg. A Memorial Celebration of Life will be held at 5:00 pm Sunday, April 6, 2014 at the Carpenter-Fritz & Vice Funeral Home (formerly know as Denton-Workman Funeral Home) by Bro. Darrin Fizer and the Rev. Norman Wasson. Visitation will be 3-5 pm Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass, 2312 Alexandria Dr., Lexington, KY 40504.
